Now that my half-marathon is over, I am going to really focus on sticking to no more than 1400 calories a day. I really want to lose these last 10 or so pounds before I start training for another race. It is too hard to train and cut back calories at the same time! Not sure what happened today, but I didn't even have a hard time stopping at just under 1300. I think it has something to do with running yesterday. It felt so great to run 13.1 miles, without stopping, and I know my body can only get stronger from here! I also saw a photo from yesterday of me and a friend (who ran the full marathon) and I compared it to a photo I have with her from last year at this time (at another race). Seeing the difference just makes me want to work even harder.
Soft Taco Fiesta is on my grocery list! I have too many Lean Cuisines in my freezer right now so I gotta eat those before I almost exclusively switch to Amy's Frozen stuff. But I was on the official site and made a huge list of her stuff I want to try. At Outpost I DID buy one of her Spinach pizzas. Anxious to try that.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried any other Amy's Light and Lean meals? I just saw them for the first time last week (don't normally go down the frozen dinner aisle much!). How was it? I think I'm gonna try a few to have on hand for days we are too rushed to cook. I normally love Amy's stuff when I do buy it (even if its sometimes a tad high in sodium)!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it neat how pictures can me motivation? All the pictures you took of backside on Saturday are motivation for me! LOL
Linda: I love the Light & Lean Pasta & Veggies also. :) It only has 210 calories and is quite filling. I try to catch them on sale (anything under $5.00) if I can. They are SO good, especially when I don't feel like making anything. I wanted to try the Light & Lean Black Bean & Cheese Enchilada, but it has soy so I'm sticking with the others. lol. The only downside to these that I can find is the sodium, but I'm not eating them everyday so I think I'll be okay. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I love how photos are motivation. I know some people don't like to look at photos of themselves when they were bigger, but I do. It reminds me of why I'm living the way I am and how much happier I am now! :0) AND, I didn't mean to take photos of your backside! I was just snapping away to get as many photos of Kayla as I could! :D
Lindsey: I think you will really like it. I was surprised at how filling it was for 220 calories. Plus, since it is so hot coming out of the microwave, it takes me longer to eat it. :0) Let me know how the Spinach Pizza is. I love Amy's stuff...so tasty!
ReplyDeleteThe Spinach Pizza is yummy!!! Costco actually sells it a three pack!
