My rescue organization had a board meeting tonight. I did NOT choose the restaurant. Luckily, Marie Callender's recently introduced four dishes that are healthier/fresher options. Not ideal, but it could have been far worse. I wish I had ordered it without this chipotle sauce, or whatever it was, but I just avoided it. I basically took the mahi mahi out of the tacos and ate it by itself with the rice and avocado. Yum.

Today I had to wait at home for the cable guy to come. I didn't have breakfast until after he left around 9:15am. I totally wish I could start every day like this. I wasn't nearly as hungry throughout the day. I usually have breakfast at 7:15am, and I'm hungry again by 10:00am or so. I guess I could try waiting until I get to work to eat breakfast, but that's not practical, especially since we don't even have a toaster in my building.

  1. So proud of you at Marie Callendars! I haven't eaten there in years, but I think I remember they have amazing cornbread? You do so well in the face of temptaion!

  2. Thank you! I did my research ahead of time as usual. I was surprised that they actually had several dishes in the 600-800 calorie range. I think the one I got was 670, but I didn't eat all of the tortillas or the cabbage or the chipotle sauce. Marie Callender's actually has a cool nutrition calculator on their site. You pull up a dish and it tells you how many calories. There are check boxes for each item on the plate (even down to the lime!) and you can select and deselect certain items to see how that changes the calorie count. :)
